This is not the first time that the multiple Asian Television awardee was a victim of a death hoax.
Last July 2020, Direk Bitoy also expressed his dismay about a fake post circulating online that he has already died.
If you remember, the Bubble Gang star confirmed via his “Bitoy Story” vlog that he contracted COVID-19.
In a report by PEP.Ph, Carol Bunagan, wife of Michael V. was clearly disappointed after learning about this horrible news about her husband.
She said, “Ano kaya napapala ng mga gumagawa ng ganitong fake news? Kaawaan sana kayo ng Diyos."
Ms. Carol is the manager of Direk Bitoy and the executive producer of their production company, Mic Test Entertainment.
Michael V. talked about his experience contracting the highly-contagious coronavirus in an episode of the flagship comedy program Pepito Manaloto in September 2020.
According to the Kapuso prized talent, his strong faith helped him a lot during the difficult moments of his recovery from COVID-19.
