The Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) is set to honor filmmakers and artists' creativity during the pandemic in its 5th Film Ambassadors' Night (FAN) on February 28.
FDCP Chair Liza Diño emphasized the importance of honoring our artists who were recognized in international film festivals despite the plight of the pandemic.
“Whenever we hold Film Ambassadors' Night, it is always (about) celebrating our filmmakers,” she said. “It is always about looking at the brighter side of things. That there's always an opportunity for us to promote our stories, to promote our cinema, promote our filmmakers and be proud of what they are doing. To not just represent their stories but to represent us in different parts of the world,” she said in an online media conference for FDCP on Feb. 18.
