American singer Beyoncé just made history as the most decorated woman in Grammy history as she took home her 28th win at the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards on Sunday, March 14.
Beyoncé, who had nine nominations, took home a total of four wins including Best R&B Performance for “Black Parade” and Best Rap Performance with Megan Thee Stallion for their song “Savage (Remix)".
During her acceptance speech, Beyoncé said, “As an artist, I believe it's my job and all of our jobs to reflect the times.
“It's been such a difficult time, so I wanted to uplift, encourage, celebrate all of the beautiful Black queens and kings that continue to inspire me and inspire the whole world.
“This is so overwhelming, I've been working my whole life since I was nine years old. I can't believe this happened. It's such a wonderful night.”
Another big winner for the night is Taylor Swift who won Album of the Year for her record Folklore, making her the first woman to win it three times.
Meanwhile, Record of the Year went to singer Billie Eilish for her song “Everything I Wanted.”
When her name was read out by legendary musician Ringo Starr, Billie looked shocked and explained that she thought Megan Thee Stallion deserved the title.
She said, “I was going to write a speech about how you deserved this, but then I was like, there's no way they're going to choose me.
“I was like, it's hers. You deserve this [award]. You had a year that I think is untoppable. You are a queen. I want to cry thinking about how much I love you.”'
