Chanyeol

True to his word, Chanyeol has officially dropped his first gift to fans as he releases his latest single “Tomorrow” along with its music video.

Despite entering the military, EXO's Chanyeol has come bearing gifts as he drops the music video for his latest track “Tomorrow.”

The SM Station track is a minimal acoustic pop song that tells the writer's anxiousness as he worries about how the future would look like.

The lyric, which Chanyeol participated in writing under his alias “Loey,” goes: “What's next? Will it be a little different? Does it look like how I imagine it to be? Maybe then tomorrow. Tomorrow I'll wait for you. Answer me. Shine on me.”

The music video compliments the acoustic pop song as viewers can see the K-pop idol walking around the streets of Seoul alone as it transitions from a black and white video to sepia.

The video ends with Chanyeol inside an abandoned building with a light flickering in the end as if to suggest that something bright and hopeful awaits the new day ahead.

Since the release of the music video, many fans of the EXO member made “#TomorrowWithChanyeol” and “TomorrowMVOutNow” trend as it hit the #1 spot on Twitter Philippines.

Many EXO-Ls shared how personal the track felt and said that they'll be there to support the singer and rapper even through his many ups and downs.

One fan said it best, “Please know that you weren't alone in that tunnel. We were waiting for you on the other side -- lighting the path with the fire that you gave us. Share your happiness with us, hardships, too.”

Chanyeol started his military service on March 29, 2021.

He is the fifth member of EXO to enlist in the military following recently discharged members Xiumin and D.O., and Suho and Chen, who are currently serving.

He will be followed by Baekhyun, who will enlist on May 6, 2021.
