Thai actor Tawan Vihokratana, popularly known as Tay Tawan, tested positive for COVID-19, his talent agency announced.
In an Instagram post on April 26, GMMTV said that Tay had cough and mild fever a day before he got tested for COVID-19.
The statement read, "After having a cough and mild fever on 24 April 2021, Tay went to get another COVID-19 test on 25 April 2021."
"The result came out today (26 April 2021) with a positive test result of COVID-19. Currently, 'Tay' no longer has a cough and fever.
"However, he is on his way to receive proper treatment at the hospital."
On April 27, Tay posted a picture on his Instagram account while wearing a face mask.
He wrote in the caption, "TC [take care] everyone."
Tay Tawan captured the heart of Filipinos when he starred in Thai Boys Love series Kiss: The Series, Kiss Me Again, Our Skyy, and Dark Blue Kiss.
In fact, Tay sent a message to his Filipino fans after the onslaught of Typhoon Ulysses in 2020.
