“We are happy and proud to share the good news that GMA Regional TV Balitang Bisdak and GMA Regional TV Live! can now be seen on GMA RTV channels in Calbayog, Borongan, and Dumaguete,” shared GMA Regional TV and Synergy First Vice President and Head Oliver Victor Amoroso. “GMA Regional TV believes that 'local news matters' and that our viewers in the regions deserve to have access to locally-produced TV programs. With shows 'made by locals, for the locals,' more Filipinos have been able to appreciate and love the regions. This is why we continue to find ways to make our Kapuso shows and services available in various cities and provinces. We want to thank our viewers for their warm support because without them, these endeavors will not be possible. We are not stopping here. GMA Regional TV has a lot more in store for our local viewers all over the country,” he added.

Airing weekdays at 5 p.m., “GMA Regional TV Balitang Bisdak” is an award-winning unified weekday newscast bannered by tri-media personality Bobby Nalzaro and co-anchored by award-winning broadcast journalists Alan Domingo and Cecille Quibod-Castro. The newscast continues to attract viewers over the years. Data from Nielsen Phils. Metro Cities TV Audience Measurement (MCTAM) showed that Balitang Bisdak grew its average number of viewers in Metro Cebu by 48 percent in 2020 relative to 2019. Balitang Bisdak also features regional correspondents Lou-Anne Mae Rondina, Nikko Sereno, Fe Marie Dumaboc, and local news stringers based in different parts of Central and Eastern Visayas.

Meanwhile, bringing fresh start to mornings is “GMA Regional TV Live!” which recently celebrated its first year on air. Born at the height of the community quarantine and the pandemic in 2020, the show continues to give Kapuso in the regions reasons to face the day with renewed hope and spirit. Airing 8 a.m. weekdays, GMA Regional TV Live! is co-hosted by Sereno and Quibod-Castro.
