Eid Mubarak to all Muslims!
Today, May 13, the world observes Eid al-Fitr or the Festival of Breaking the Fast.
It marks the end of the month-long dawn-to-sunset fasting of Ramadan.
And one of the Kapuso stars who sent his greetings via social media is Bilangin ang Bituin sa Langit actor Yasser Marta.
Not many know that Yasser is half-Filipino, half-Portuguese and that he is actually a Muslim.
In fact, Yasser was born and raised in Saudi Arabia.
In his Instagram post, Yasser shared a photo of himself wearing a topi or taqiyah, which is a skullcap worn by Muslim men.
He captioned it, “Eid Mubarak to all my brothers and sisters. #eidmubarak”
Mariel Rodriguez-Padilla, who's married to Muslim actor Robin Padilla, also posted her Eid al-Fitr greetings on Instagram, along with a series of photos of her and daughters Isabella and Gabriella wearing matching hijab and dirac.
Aside from Yasser Marta and Robin Padilla, Kapuso actor Abdul Rahman is also a Muslim and he is set to star in the cultural drama series Legal Wives soon.
