
The public can now pay they last respects to the late President Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III at the Church of Gesu inside the Ateneo de Manila University in Quezon City until 10 p.m. today, June 25.
"In appreciation for the outpouring of prayers and sympathies for the late Former President Benigno S. Aquino III, there will be a one-day public viewing of President Aquino's urn at the Church of Gesu inside the Ateneo de Manila University in Quezon City," the official bulletin read as shared in the Facebook page of Liberal Party.
The Aquino family also asked the public to strictly adhere to health protocols and social distancing measures to avoid the spreading of COVID-19.
"In adherence to the regulations of the IATF for COVID-19, the Aquino family enjoins everyone who intends to personally pay their last respects to the former President, to follow the health protocols and social distancing measures that will be implemented by the Ateneo de Manila University in coordination with the authorities."
Former President Aquino died on Thursday, June 24, due to renal failure. He was 61.
His body was cremated on the same day.
Tomorrow, June 26, his urn will be sent to Manila Memorial Cemetery, where military funeral honors will be given.
Dingdong Dantes, who served as a commissioner of the National Youth Commission during President Aquino's term, and other celebrities have paid their tribute to the former commander-in-chief.
Aside from being a President, Noynoy was also a loving uncle to Josh and Bimby Aquino.
