Before leaving the United States, the Illonga beauty queen dines with 'The Young Messiah' director Cyrus Nowrasteh

Miss Universe Philippines 2020 Rabiya Mateo shared a selfie with Hollywood director Cyrus Nowrasteh on her Instagram account yesterday, June 29.

The beauty queen wrote in the caption, “One day before I leave US, I was privileged enough to have dinner with Hollywood Director @nowrastehcyrus, the man behind the movie 'The Young Messiah' and many more great films.”

Nowrasteh also directed The Stoning of Soraya M. (2008) and Infidel (2019).

The photo was taken a day before Rabiya left the US for Manila.

Miss Universe 2020 3rd runner-up Adeline Castelino showed her love and support for the Pinay beauty and left heart-eyed, heart, and praise emojis in the comments section.

At this writing, Rabiya's post has more than 167,000 likes on Instagram.

The Iranian-American filmmaker wrote in the caption, “With the stunning and talented Rabiya #rabiyamateo at dinner at The Grand Havana Room in Beverly Hills. She is Miss Universe Philippines 2020 and not once did she complain about the cigar smoke in the joint. I had a Hoya De Monterrey…”

An Instagram user, whose username is @jinxjilted, commented, “Cast Rabiya in your future films.”

Cyrus replied, “@jinxjilted She is about to star in a TV show in her home country!”

Since April, Rabiya Mateo has been staying in the United States. She represented the Philippines in the 69th Miss Universe pageant in Florida, which was held in May. Rabiya stayed in the US after the pageant to make the most out of the trip.

The Ilongga beauty queen secured the 15th spot in the Top 21 semifinals of the much-awaited pageant.

Days after the 69th Miss Universe pageant, Rabiya shared that she's planning to begin a career in the showbiz industry.
