Barbie Forteza made her TV debut in 2009, playing the young Jodi in the Philippine version of the K-drama hit 'Stairway to Heaven.'
Kapuso primetime princess Barbie Forteza is eternally grateful to her home network, GMA-7, for the trust that the network has placed in her.
That's why it's not surprising that she has remained loyal to GMA Network throughout the years. Barbie made her TV drama debut in the Philippine-adaptation of the hit K-drama series Stairway to Heaven, portraying the young Jodi. She acted opposite her then on-screen partner Joshua Dionisio.
In her exclusive chat with GMANetwork.com on July 21, the Kapuso actress talked about her Kapuso journey.
Barbie shared, “Ang talagang naiparamdam sa akin ng GMA na hanggang ngayon siguro mapanghahawakan ko is their trust.
“Kung loyal ako sa kanila binabalik din nila 'yung loyalty na 'yun sa akin na kahit marami nang bago, kahit na mas marami na akong beshie cakes ngayon dito sa GMA, hindi pa rin nila ako kinakalimutan and hindi pa rin nila ako pinapabayaan.” describing what it's like being part of the star-studded roster of GMA-7.
Recently, there have been several high-profile artists who signed with the biggest broadcasting network in the Philippines and among these A-list celebrities, Barbie Forteza is already looking forward to working with the multi-awarded actress Bea Alonzo.
She recalled meeting Bea on several occasions and noticed one of her many amazing qualities as a person.
Barbie told GMANetwork.com, “Actually, dalawang beses ko na siya nakita sa isang mall, tapos dati sa derma clinic. 'Tapos, parang everytime na nagkikita kami, kahit alam ko na naman hindi niya ako kilala, parang ang sarap lagi ng bati niya sa akin.
“Nakaka-inspire 'yun hindi lang bilang artista kundi para sa isang fan din na ganoon 'yung trato sa'yo ng idol mo. So, dahil ako artista rin, na-inspire ako sa kanya, ganun din ginagawa ko sa mga supporters ko.”
