Anyone who watched Gameboys: The Movie is probably irritated with Tita Susan, portrayed by Angie Castrence, the conservative auntie of Gavreel (played by Kokoy de Santos).
Gavreel and his boyfriend, Elijah Canlas, now live in the same house when Tita Susan visited, causing them to act as friends.
According to screenwriter Ash Malanum, Tita Susan is inspired by a real-life "Aling Susan."
He said during the press conference of the movie, "Actually, 'yung meron lang na may pinanggalingan na person is Tita Susan.
"For some reason, parang sobrang na-trigger ako doon tapos sakto nung sinusulat ko 'yung episode na 'yun, for some reason na-trigger ako kasi wala ka namang ginagawa.
In a November 2020 report by 24 Oras Weekend, trans woman Alexis Hart Garcia was with her partner when a certain 'Aling Susan' verbally assaulted them, calling them evil spirits.
Garcia and her partner tried to ignore the woman but she kept yelling at them, which prompted them to take a video and upload it on social media.
