Pinoy boxer Carlo Paalam punches his way to the finals match in the men's flyweight division.
No goodbyes just yet for Pinoy boxing sensation Carlo Paalam after winning in the semifinals round of the men's flyweight division. He advances to the gold medal match which will take place on Auguist 7.
Carlo was overcame with emotion and dropped to his knees when it was announced that he defeated Japanese pride Ryomei Tanaka via unanimous decision.
His win secured him a silver medal in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

Meanwhile, Eumir Marcial put a gallant stand against Ukranian foe Oleksandr Khyzhniak, but failed to make it to the final round of the men's middleweight event. Khyzhniak won via split decision.
Still, Eumir made the country proud by adding a bronze medal to Team Philippines' medal haul in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
