As GMA Network Inc. pushes drama beyond limits, the network recreates one of its most remarkable series Sana ay Ikaw na Nga (SAINN) that will unfold on Philippine television this September.
The original version of Sana ay Ikaw na Nga (2002) ran for two stellar years and even helped skyrocket the careers of Dingdong Dantes and Tanya Garcia.
In the newest version, promising Kapuso stars Mikael Daez and Andrea Torres breathe new life to the roles previously portrayed by Dingdong and Tanya.
SAINN is a story that revolves around the lives of Carlos Miguel and Cecilia whose romance is against all odds. Will their undying love for one another be enough to fight all the barriers that hinder their relationship?
"This is a great challenge for all of us. After a decade, one of the most-loved teledramas in Philippine television will be given a different touch that is appropriate for today's times," says Mikael who portrays the role of Carlos Miguel Altamonte.
Meanwhile, Andrea reprises the role of Cecilia Fulgencio in the series. "I'm so blessed to be part of this afternoon prime offering. Even before I auditioned for the role, sinigurado kong hindi ko pinanood yung original na Sana ay Ikaw na Nga para mabigyan ko ng panibagong atake ang role na aking gagampanan bilang Cecila at Olga."
The newest loveteam underwent intensive workshops to prepare them for the roles that they will take on in Sana ay Ikaw na Nga. They will also be seen in different on-ground events and mall shows across the country.
Completing the cast are Ms. Alicia Alonzo, Jan Marini, Ynna Asistio,Jace Flores, Marky Lopez and the team up of Rita Avila and Jestoni Alarcon. Also in the cast is Gabby Eigenmann who reprises the role of Gilbert Zalameda, the man who will take care of Cecilia after the fateful accident that will be the pivotal event in this soap opera.
The original leads, Dingdong Dantes and Tany Garcia, share the excitement of recreating Sana ay Ikaw na Nga, and they even encourage the viewers to support the remake as much as they did on the original series.

Under the helm of Director Roderick "Dick" Lindayag and written by RJ Nuevas, whose concept gave birth to the original Sana Ay Ikaw Na Nga, the series will replace Kasalanan Bang Ibigin Ka? beginning September 3 on GMA Afternoon Prime.
