Lea Salonga will be playing the role of Elodie in the upcoming HBO Max series.
In an Instagram post, Broadway star Lea Salonga announced that she has been cast in the upcoming HBO Max series Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin.
"The moms have descended upon the town of Millwood! And we have secrets and lies of our own (can't let the children have all the fun)!
“So excited to be part of the cast of Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin!” Lea wrote.
Joining her in the series' reboot are Sharon Leal (Dream Girls), Elena Goode (Straight Outta Compton), and recurring cast Carly Pope (Demonic) and Zakiya Young (Orange is the New Black).
According to a Deadline report, Lea will play the role of Elodie, the overbearing mother of Minnie (Malia Pyles). “Elodie works overtime to keep her daughter safe following a trauma that occurred when Minnie was just a little girl.”
Deadline also stated that Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin is "a present-day iteration of the popular 2010-17 series.”
