Raymond Gutierrez

Raymond Gutierrez reminds everyone: “Please wear your seatbelt.”

TV host and social media personality Raymond Gutierrez was shaken up after experiencing first-hand a car accident in Los Angeles, California.

The twin brother of Mulawin star Richard Gutierrez posted on Instagram Story, several photos of what happened to the Uber car he was riding.

He shared in his post, “Still shaken up. My Uber driver got into an accident, good thing I was wearing a seat belt during impact.

“Just happy to be safe coz it could've been a lot worse.”

Raymond admitted that he misses the convenience of having his own driver in Manila, but he knows that he has to learn how to drive, while in America.

What's more, he ended his post by stressing the importance of wearing seatbelts, too.

“I don't drive and that's still on my to-do list here in LA. I miss the convenience of having a driver in Manila but I know I'm gonna have to learn this life skill at some point. Hope today's incident won't make me even more apprehensive. PS always wear your seatbelt.”

Back in May 2009, Raymond's brother, Richard got into a near-fatal car crash. The mishap took place in an accident-prone area on the Santa Rosa-Tagaytay Road at Puting Kahoy village in Silang, Cavite.

In a report by topgear.com.ph, which cited the data from the Metro Manila Accident Reporting and Analysis System (MMARAS), in 2019, there were 121,771 road accidents reported in Metro Manila, which is higher compared to the previous year of 116,906 incidents.
