Bea Alonzo and John Lloyd Cruz were both incredibly impressed with their 'One True Pair The Movie' director JP Habac.
Bea Alonzo and John Lloyd Cruz looked back to their shoot with their One True Pair The Movie director JP Habac.
Yesterday, during the grand virtual presscon for this Jollibee Studios project, they both shared their experience working with the talented director for the first time.
Bea recalled, “I've seen some of his films and we were supposed to work together in one of his films before, pero hindi natuloy. But finally, dito meant to be na magkatrabaho talaga kami and very light 'yung set.”
“He's so unassuming, he is also very collaborative, so I enjoyed it. It felt like we are all on the same page the whole time.” she added.
Meanwhile, John Lloyd noted, “Akala ko noong una suplado si direk, e. Kasi, hindi siya nagsa-salita [laughs].”
He continued, “I appreciate 'yung freedom na binibigay niya or ina-allow niya to collaborate with him and he never imposes. Kaya naging maganda 'yung flow ng collaboration and yeah parang naghihintay ako ng susunod namin magagawa.”
Direk JP admitted during the interview with the entertainment press that he felt nervous directing the popular cinematic pair in show business.
Habac shared, “Noong first day kinakabahan talaga ako. Noong na-meet ko na silang dalawa, tapos noong nasa set na, 'Okay eto na 'yun [laughs]. Hindi ako puwede magpakita ng kaba ganyan.”
In addition, JP also pointed out that John Lloyd and Bea were so collaborative throughout the entire process of their shoot.
“Pero, noong dinidirek ko na sila, sobrang dali kausap, like, it's not really direction, mas collaboration 'yung nangyayari doon sa set na kung paano nila gusto i-treat 'yung dialogue ganyan,” he added.
“Parang nandoon ako to guide them na lang. Kasi ang galing na noong dalawa, so parang nandito lang ako to guide them,” the director said. “So 'pag nagti-tape na parang 'pag nanonood ako doon sa monitor, minsan nakakalimutan ko na mag-cut kasi ang ganda na nung flow ng conversation na parang pati ako: ang galing, ang ganda.”
