"The way to go in life is always forward," explains Alden.
Asia's Multimedia Star Alden Richards explained why his fundraising concert for the benefit of AR Foundation is titled 'ForwARd' because he wanted to send a message to the public.
In an interview, Alden looked back and admitted that they asked themselves what they wanted to do in life, especially during a pandemic.
"The reason why 'ForwARd' is the title of the concert is for them to see na that's the best way to go, that's the way to go in life. It's always forward," he explained.
"No matter what has happened in your previous life, 'yung mga nakaraan sa buhay mo na dumaan, it's always about living in the present and make a difference.
Alden added that he wanted the public to know that Alden Richards and Richard Reyes Faulkerson, Jr. is the same person.
"And I don't want to create a stigma that Alden is different from Richard because they are exactly the same person but siguro mayroon lang silang little differences. But in reality, they are one person and both of these persons are very grateful to one another.
"Kasi kung wala 'yung isa, the whole thing, the whole being in the showbiz industry, won't work for me, for Alden.
"I don't want to create a stigma na magkaiba silang tao. Isa lang po sila and ang motivation nila and ang goal nila is to go forward."
Alden disclosed that Richard Faulkerson had managed to catch up to Alden Richards during the pandemic.
"[I don't believe] in the stigma of time stopped because of the pandemic [because] I was able to focus on myself," he candidly shared.
"There's always that hunger for more knowledge na 'What can I do aside from the things that I do in show business?' Kaya nag-aral ako.
"I am so grateful for the pandemic na kahit papaano, tinigil niya muna 'yung buhay ni Alden Richards that time. Alden Richards stopped that time but Richard Faulkerson, Jr. worked double time para maka-cope up siya with Alden.
"So I was really blessed with this situation kasi right now, I'm reaping the fruits of it. I was able to research, study. Of course also with family, with my close friends.
"I was able to make it whole again. Pantay na sila, Richard and Alden are now in the same platform."
'ForwARd' is directed by Frank Lloyd Mamaril and is set to stream on January 30, 2022, at 8:00 p.m.
