Kapuso leading man Tom Rodriguez documented his experience when Typhoon Odette (international name: Rai) hit their location. The storm continues its wrath over parts of Visayas, Mindanao and nearby provinces.

In a video posted on Instagram, the actor is seen with other guests walking toward the hotel's ballroom. He however did not specifically mention his exact location.

According to Tom, they were advised to seek safety in the ballroom area where a wedding was actually taking place.

In his caption, he said, “A bit of a panic for everyone here. Stay safe and vigilant everyone. Malalampsan din natin to.”

As they were contained inside the ballroom area, Tom and a companion were overheard assessing the safety of their evacuation, “Parang mas delikado ata dito eh.”

His Instagram stories further showed how the typhoon wreaked havoc onto their location. The strong winds uprooted trees, moved parked cars, and destroyed hotel walls.

Tom did not mention however if wife, Kapuso actress Carla Abellana is with him. Netizens expressed deep concern for Tom and his companions and prayed for their safety.

Typhoon Odette has so far made eight landfalls causing massive floods and destruction.

As the onslaught of Typhoon Odette caused extensive damage, people called out for help and donations for affected residents. Among those is actress Andi Eigenmann who took to social media to ask for help for hard-hit Siargao.
