Taeyeon

Girls' Generation's Taeyeon proves she's got irreplaceable talent in her latest full-length solo album "INVU."

Korean singer Taeyeon is soaring in music charts all over the world with her comeback.

The Girls' Generation member dropped her third full-length solo album titled INVU on February 14, along with the music video for her title track.

As of February 15, the album has reached the top of various local and international music charts. INVU climbed all the way to the number one spot on iTunes Top Albums charts in 21 regions such as Philippines, Canada, Sweden, Australia, Japan, Indonesia, Taiwan, Brazil, Lebanon, Mexico, the Philippines, Chile, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Turkey, Vietnam, Cambodia, Saudi Arabia, Peru, and Israel.

Taeyeon's INVU now has the highest first-day sales among albums by Korean solo artists in 2022. It has also outdone Moonbyul's "6equence" for the highest first-day sales for a soloist in 2022.

Additionally, INVU is now the second best-selling album by a K-pop female artist on the first day in 2022 as of writing, surpassing fromis_9's Midnight Guest.

The music video for "INVU" showcased Taeyeon like you've never seen her before.

Dressed as a magical elven beauty from outer space, Taeyeon captivates fans with her out-of-this-world visuals.

The pop dance song features Taeyeon's powerful yet soft vocals and a dreamy synth sound that accompanies the flute melody featured in the chorus.

This song is premised on the concept of the vocalist feeling stuck in an unrequited love. Meanwhile, the title of this song is meant to be read as 'I envy you', a sentiment which the vocalist is relaying to her ex, and not for the girl he's currently dating. The expression is meant to show just how much the vocalist still admires her ex.
