
Korean girl group MAMAMOO member Solar has tested positive for COVID-19.
According to Korean media reports, MAMAMOO's agency RBW has confirmed the singer's coronavirus diagnosis as positive.
Solar came in close contact with a COVID-19 person on February 17. She took a self-testing kit and a PCR test the next day, both resulting positive for the coronavirus.
The singer has been fully vaccinated and has also received a booster shot, making her case a breakthrough infection.
Currently, Solar is "taking the necessary measures as well as getting rest in keeping with guidelines set by government health authorities” according to RBW.
Also known by her full name Kim Yong-sun, Solar debuted in the K-pop industry in 2014 for the girl group MAMAMOO where she is the main vocalist. She made her solo debut in April 2020 with the single "Spit It Out." The singer just turned 31 on February 21.
