miguel tanfelix in gen z magazine singapore

Sparkle star Miguel Tanfelix talked about his struggles of "growing up on-screen" and "pushing his limits to meet expectations, both of his own and the public," in the March 2022 cover feature of Singaporean online magazine, Gen-Z.

Miguel Tanfelix seems to be generating buzz in Southeast Asia.

In fact, the Kapuso actor got featured by Singapore-based online magazine, Gen-Z, for its March 2022 cover story. In the feature, Miguel talked about his "struggles of growing up on-screen, facing head-on the challenges that come along his way, and pushing his limits to meet expectations - both of his own and the public."

In an email interview with GMANetwork.com, the editors of Gen-Z Magazine said the idea of featuring Miguel on their portal is to keep up with their goal of constantly inspiring their readers.

"We feature stories and life experiences that people can resonate with, experiences that made people who they are or those that conquered greatness.

"It's being able to mirror the realities to other people and hope that somehow could impact their lives or how they approach their own struggles. And there's no better person to tell it than the person who's in the spotlight that's within Generation Z."

Having followers from across Southeast Asia, the guys at Gen-Z Magazine saw Miguel putting his platform to good use while creating an impact and influencing his fellow Gen Zs positively by staying true and authentic.

Because of this, they believe that this can contribute to Miguel's commercial success in Southeast Asia.

"Miguel is more than meets the eye. His strong grip and passion for his craft are more than his astounding looks and being a good actor validated by his awards and nominations."

Sure enough, for someone who started honing his craft and being in the field early, Miguel's charm and talent are too hard to be unnoticed, making him one of GMA talent management arm Sparkle's brightest stars of 2022.

This year, he will play the lead role in the upcoming primetime series What We Could Be and will banner one of the network's biggest productions, Voltes V: Legacy, the Philippine live-action adaptation of the '70s classic Japanese anime series.

According to Gen-Z magazine, Miguel's "combined looks and talent, his desire to learn, and his eagerness to step out of his comfort zone" made him the perfect choice to portray Steve Armstrong, the Voltes V team leader.

Being an actor is more than just a job because it's a commitment and Miguel embodies this by spending countless hours in his training in combat sports and stunt fighting, gun firing and handling, and even motorcycle-riding.

"Miguel has proven yet again, not only the things he can offer to the table but the things he is willing to learn to be the person fit for the leading role," said Gen-Z Magazine.

In fact, the publication even likens Miguel to famous Hollywood actors Cole Sprouse, Tom Holland, and Leonardo DiCaprio.

"Miguel, among these actors, understands better than most how much effort, sacrifice, and unglamorous work it takes to build a career and how slim the chances of success are."

Miguel is just one of the eight artists who are named as Sparkle's next brightest stars for 2022. Take a closer look at what the future holds for these Kapuso superstars as they embark on their own sparkling journey to stardom:
