Bianca Valerio: “No means no. No doesn't mean, 'Please, convince me.'”

Former runway model, events host, and vlogger Bianca Valerio has recently come out to social media to share her story about being sexually assaulted during an event she hosted last year.

In a 20-minute confession video posted on Bianca's Instagram account, she bravely spoke about the trauma that she had experienced during an intimate party on June 23, 2021.

“I had never seen, met, or heard of this man before that evening. He told me he was working for a very popular mobile app. He was this cuddly teddy bear who was truly the Mr. PR he is known to be. I was only made aware, after he sexually assaulted me, that first, he was never actually invited to the party I hosted” she revealed.

Bianca also pointed out through her confession, “I have survived many bullies like you all throughout my life. And in hindsight, knowing now what I know about you, I am probably one of the few who is actually kind to you. Because I never asked you for anything that night. I never asked you to buy me a drink. I never asked you for wallet credits. I never asked you for a ride home. I never asked you for narcotics, even if you and I knew all throughout that evening as you offered and you pushed, what did I say? 'Oh, no you go ahead. Thank you so much. No, no, no. No.' No means no. No doesn't mean, 'Please, convince me.' No.

"I guess, just because I was kind to you, you probably thought that it was okay to take advantage of me, to manipulate me, to isolate me, to physically hurt me, and to sexually assault me. Even if I keep begging and begging you, 'Why are you doing this? Please, don't do this. Please stop, don't do this.”

The popular events host also claimed that what happened to her was not an isolated case.

She went on to her statement, "Even if you say, 'It's just one night...' For sure, even if you have just assaulted me that one night, as many victims of sexual and trauma knows, the effects of PTSD, the damage that it does with emotional, physical, mental, psychological goes beyond the moment it happened.

"So, for those of you who are watching right now, this was not an isolated act. Knowing now of this man and his infamous reputation, I was just another one night stand. And for the record, hindi ako nagmamalinis."

On her caption, Bianca said that the man she was referring to was "actually a convicted felon, a man with a criminal record, from as far back as 2014.

"It's all over the Internet…."

Along with her post on Instagram, Bianca used the hashtags “ToxicMasculinity, #ToxicGratitude, #EmpoweredWomenEmpowerWomen, and #HealingOutLoud.
