GMA Network's big bosses have given their stamp of approval on the historic partnership forged with Kapuso primetime couple Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera together with APT Entertainment on Monday, April 25.
DongYan will not only be the lead stars of their upcoming primetime series Jose and Maria's Bonggang Villa, but they will also serve as co-producers for this show thru Agosto Dos Media.
In a video message shown during the contract signing held at a posh hotel in Quezon City, GMA Network CEO Atty. Felipe Gozon shared that he firmly believes that this exciting project will be eagerly anticipated by the ardent fans of the couple both here and abroad.
“Sina Dingdong at Marian ay dalawa sa mga homegrown talents ng GMA Network na naging pinaka-popular.
“Nakakasiguro kami na ang kanilang maraming fans dito sa Pilipinas at abroad will welcome them back in TV very soon.”
For his part, GMA EVP and CFO Felipe S. Yalong stated that this partnership with Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera is just the start of the many beautiful collaborations in the future.
“We are so happy and proud of how much the two of you have grown as individual artists in your craft. Now as co-producers of GMA we are looking forward to many partnerships with you.”
In addition, APT Entertainment COO and CFO Jojo Oconer noted that this sitcom is truly a special moment because this is the first time that they will work with the Dantes couple's company Agosto Dos.
“With GMA matagal na, marami na kaming projects together, pero with Agosto Dos this is the first time. We are very excited.”
Kapuso Primetime King Dingdong Dantes was all smiles during the contract signing and this new show is an opportunity for him to finally work with Marian on TV once again after so many years.
Dingdong shared, “Bukod sa na-miss ko talagang katrabaho si Marian sa TV, e, at this time siyempre sa show na malapit din sa amin. And pinakamahalaga dun, partnership with GMA and APT Entertainment na first time na mangyayari sa amin.”
Marian added that doing a sitcom again is an absolute joy, saying, “Sabi ko nga, 'sitcom pa.' Ito 'yung isa sa mga gusto ko ginagawa talaga, bonus pa dahil kasama ko siya [looks to Dingdong].”
