"Super proud!!!" Sofia wrote on Instagram after Aiko's victory in the election.
Kapuso teen actress Sofia Pablo sent a short but sweet congratulatory message as her former Prima Donnas co-star Aiko Melendez won in the recently concluded election as councilor of Quezon City's fifth district.
On Instagram, Sofia, who currently portrays the mermaid Raya in GMA Network and Regal Entertainment's sea fantaseries Raya Sirena, reshared one of Aiko's posts and wrote, "Congratulations to my tita @aikomelendez!!! super proud!!!"
A day after the election, Aiko thanked her supporters for their trust. According to the partial, unofficial tally, Aiko is currently on the fifth spot with over 94,000 votes.
She wrote in the caption, "Officially back to public service! Maraming salamat sa aking pamilya na naging inspirasyon ko sa aking kampanya at laban."
"Sa aking team, marshalls, at leaders ko salamat para sa inyo ang panalo na to. Lord God thank you Po! Mananatili akong magsisilbi na ayon sa gusto mo at kung ano ang karapat dapat para sa mga tao!
