The Philippine showbiz industry remembered the life and legacy of the “Queen of Philippine Movies” Susan Roces. She died at the age of 80 on May 20.

The month of May 2022 will be forever etched in the hearts of many local celebrities after it was confirmed on Friday night, May 20, that seasoned TV and movie star Susan Roces has passed away. She was 80.

Susan's career spanned 70 years and with over 130 films under her belt, Jesusa Sonora Poe in real life has forged strong bonds with several big names in the industry.

And several celebrities took to social media to mourn the death of the showbiz legend.

Former Ang Dalawang Mrs. Real star Maricel Soriano, who worked with the screen veteran in the '80s movie Inday-Inday sa Balitaw uploaded a photo with the late actress and captioned her post, “Mama Susan❤️❤️❤️Mahal na mahal kita.”

Meanwhile, Senator Grace Poe's Instagram page, where she posted the official statement of the family, received thousands of comments from ordinary people and celebrities offering their condolences.

Some of those comforting the Poe family during this trying time were Lotlot de Leon, Janno Gibbs, and Prima Donnas star Aiko Melendez.
