Heartfelt tributes for the “Queen of Philippine Movie” Susan Roces continued to pour in from the biggest names in show business, after her unexpected death yesterday, May 20. She was 80.
In their official statement, the family of the late Ms. Susan Roces shared that the showbiz icon died peacefully surrounded by the love and warmth of her daughter Grace and her loved ones.
One of those who offered their condolences to the Poe family is the COO & Vice President of Regal Entertainment, Inc. and Regal Multimedia, Inc. Roselle Monteverde.
Roselle is the daughter of Regal matriarch Mother Lily Monteverde.
She posted on Instagram, “Our family, especially my mom, is saddened by the unexpected passing of our beloved Ms. Susan Roces. Her sweet smile, elegance, good heart, malambing na mga salita will surely be missed.”
Ms. Monteverde added, “She exemplified not only being an actress but a very good role model for the new generation. With all due respect to our Queen of Philippine Entertainment, on behalf of Regal and our family, I am sending my heartfelt condolences to the family, her loved ones, her colleagues and her beloved friends.
“I deeply mourn her passing. May our beloved, well-deserved respect Ms. Susan Roces' soul rest in peace.”
