
The cast of the South Korean film 'Broker' were beaming with pride, after they got a jaw-dropping standing ovation after the movie premiered at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival last May 27.
Directed by Japanese filmmaker Hirokazu Kore-eda, NME and movieweb.com quoted the Korean news outlet EDaily, which reported that after the screening, the film got a 12-minute-long standing ovation from those in attendance.

Back in 2018, Kore-eda won the Palme d'Or for Shoplifters. Meanwhile, Broker is his first-ever South Korean film.
Part of the stellar cast of this film are multi-talented K-idol IU, The Silent Sea actress Bae Doona, Gang Dong-Won, Lee Joo-young, and Parasite's Song Kang-ho.
