After playing one season in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) with team Blackwater Bossing, basketball player Andre Paras has decided to leave the league and return to showbiz to continue his acting career.

Before pursuing a professional basketball career, Andre showcased his acting skills in the Kapuso network and was even known for being a talented comedian. Now that he's back, the Kapuso actor is over the moon as he missed acting in front of the camera.

“I'm very excited. I'll be working with a lot of new people I look up to and I can't really wait to meet them in person,” he said in an interview with GMA's 24 Oras.

In the same interview, Andre also shared how he told his basketball teammates about his decision to return to acting.

“It's been one year and I'm finally back. I did talk to my team, I did it in person. [I told them] my reason why I wanted to step down from the league and they accepted it. I'm very thankful because suportado po sila and that's where I would love to leave it."

Despite leaving his team, Andre's teammates remained supportive of the Kapuso actor's decision and are rooting for his success in the world of showbiz.

Andre is currently preparing for his upcoming projects and his role as a young doctor in the upcoming drama series, “Abot Kamay na Pangarap.”
