Filipino actor and director Phillip Lazaro has died.

On his Facebook page, message of condolences from his workmates poured in.

Production designer Jay Custodio wrote on Facebook, "It's a sad day today, one of the most finest and kind director that I've worked with just passed away."

"He is also one of the sweetest and supportive director! Praying for the repose of your sould Direk Philip Lazaro! You will be missed!"

"Thanks for all the laughs and chikahan! Love you Direk!!!"

As of this writing, his family has not yet released a statement.

Aside from being an actor, Phillip was also a second unit director of some of GMA's well-loved series, Prima Donnas Season 2, Widow's Web, and Nagbabagang Luha.

Rest in peace, Direk Phillip.
