During the red carpet premiere of 'Maid in Malacañang' director, Darryl Yap left a message for his bashers who are criticizing him over his work.
In an interview last July 29, 2022 (Friday) during the red carpet premiere of Maid in Malacañang held in SM The Block, the director of the film, Darryl Yap gamely answered questions from the press.
Asked about his expectations for the family crisis drama film, Darryl Yap said “Well I'm expecting na every day we'll see na sa kabila ng lahat ng intriga at maagang paninira ay malalaman natin ang kasaysayan na hindi binago bagkus binuo.”
The 35-year-old director also shared how he prepared for the film.
“I got all the research materials before elections, the only thing that we are waiting for is the result of the election. If President Bongbong will win. So that's an indication with 31 million votes, that's an overwhelming testament that the Filipino people are ready to hear the side of the Marcoses. “
Asked if there were any changes done from the story, “Walang pinabago pero may mga pinatanggal. My script was very courageous. OA sa tapang. They wanted to stick to their trade of unity. They don't want any friction or crash na already. So 'yun, pinabait lang. Kung ako lang masusunod nilabas ko lahat,” said Darryl.
The director also left a message for his bashers and haters who keep on criticizing him over his works.
“Sa mga nagagalit sa akin, pumila kayo, mahaba ang pila. Magkita-kita tayo sa dulo ng linya.”
The film will be shown in cinemas beginning tomorrow, August 3.
Darryl Yap is a Filipino filmmaker, writer, and producer, best known for directing the film Jowable starring real life couple Kim Molina and Jerald Napoles.
