
Blinks, rejoice! Global K-pop girl group BLACKPINK is making their US award show debut as they perform live on stage at the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs).
In an official announcement made by the MTV VMAs, it was revealed that BLACKPINK is one of the artists added to the lineup of performers for the popular awards show. According to the post, the K-pop girl group featuring members Lisa, Jisoo, Jennie, and Rosé will be performing their upcoming single “Pink Venom” live on the VMAs stage this August 28.

“Pink Venom,” set to be released this August 19, serves as a pre-release track for the group's second studio album BORN PINK which will drop on September 16.
Apart from performing on stage, BLACKPINK is also nominated for Best Metaverse Performance this year and member Lisa is also nominated for Best K-pop with her solo act “LALISA.” In 2020, they also became the first K-pop girl group to win a VMA having won Song of the Summer with “How You Like That.”
Performers alongside BLACKPINK will be international singers Jack Harlow, Lizzo, Maneskin, Anitta, J Balvin, and Marshmello x Khalid.

BLACKPINK is also embarking on what's said to be the largest scale world tour in K-pop girl group history and is performing live in the Philippines this March 25, 2023.
