Key of SHINee

SHINee's Key is coming off strong in his new music video!

Shawols, make way for the prince of K-pop's return! SHINee's Key has made his comeback official and known with the drop of his new song “Gasoline” and its dazzling music video.

“Gasoline” showcases Key's powerful vocals and undeniably the charisma with his metallic ensembles, vigorous dance moves, and impeccable confidence.

Although it took time before Key made a solo comeback, the artist is happy with the turnout of events and shared, “A song doesn't come out quickly. It requires a lot of time and effort, and composer Kenzie couldn't work on composing for some time due to her injury. I had to wait, and thankfully, she wrote this song for me while she wrote Girls' Generation's 'Forever 1.'”

An explosive song going by its name, “Gasoline” and its hip-hop beat effortlessly makes it an addictive track his fans will truly appreciate. As he describes the song, he shares, “I heard the static spark can ignite gasoline vapors and cause a flash fire. I wanted to show my energy and confidence.”

Key also shared that “retro” became his very insignia when creating music. He explains, “Retro is not something new to me, but it's just me. I love old-fashioned things, and it's what is to my taste. I didn't want to hide my identity from music listeners. It's what I wanted to show as a soloist, and I worked on the whole project with a humble attitude.”

Along with the release of the new song and music video is the drop of his new album with the same name. It features songs that include “Gasoline,” “Bound,” “Villain,” “Burn,” “Guilty Pleasure,” “G.O.A.T (Greatest Of All Time),” “I Can't Sleep,” “Ain't Gonna Dance,” “Another Life,” “Delight,” and “Pound.”

Congratulations, Key!
