Multi-talented pop singer SORN shared a piece of advice to those who want to be a K-pop idol despite having a different nationality.

After winning tVN's K-Pop Star Hunt at the age of 15, Sorn moved from Bangkok, Thailand to Seoul, South Korea, where she would train for her debut as the lead vocalist of female K-pop group CLC in 2015.

In 2021, SORN departed from CLC and her former company Cube Entertainment and signed with WILD Group to embark on her solo career. She has since released three digital singles.

In an exclusive interview with GMANetwork.com, SORN recalled how she stepped out of her comfort zone to reach where she is now.

"Music really has no boundaries. For fans who are inspired to stand where I was at, I always like to say that try your best to stay out of your comfort zone and don't be scared about what other people think about you," she shared.

SORN continued, "I feel like people stop dreaming and stop trying because they worry too much about what other people are going to say about them. But I feel like that's a real waste of time. And at the end of the day it's your life, so you take responsibility of your own life and if you don't take the action, you know, then who's gonna take the action?

"When I was younger, I was also very scared because I [don't know] how to speak Korean. I don't understand anything about K-pop and Korean culture at all. But because I was courageous enough to step out of my comfort zone and just go for it, that's why I am sitting here right now doing this interview. So I am a big believer that you guys can also do this."

On September 15, SORN will be releasing her fourth single titled "Nirvana Girl" featuring her former CLC member Yeeun.
