Actor Rico Yan passed away at the age of 27 in 2002.
Two decades after the death of Rico Yan, many people, including those who are close to him continue to remember him, especially his ardent fans.
His death in March 2002 shocked local show business. He was 27.
On TikTok, a video of Dani Barretto, the niece of soap opera star Claudine Barretto caught the attention of netizens, wherein she shared some of her fondest memories of the late actor.
Dani remembered, “Si Tito Rico, I really have fond memories of him. He used to bring me to school, pick me up [from] school.
“Tapos sinasama niya ako sa badminton niya, tapos siya rin nagturo sa akin kumain ng strawberries. Marami akong fond memories sa kaniya.”
The vlogger continued, “Kasi at one point 'yung school ko katabi lang ng condo nila ng tita ko [Claudine Barretto], so I would sleep there constantly. Minsan 'pag nasa taping 'yung Tita Claudine ko naiiwan kaming dalawa ni Tito Rico.”
“Kaya marami akong memories sa kaniya talaga nung bata ako.”
Dani is the daughter of Marjorie Barretto and Kier Legaspi.
