Now on its 44th run, the CMMA recognizes the best in the industry, spanning six categories--television, radio, print, advertising, music, and internet.
The award-giving body aims to promote a values-filled mass media in the country.

Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho, I-Witness, and I-Juander are all nominated for the Best Adult Educational/Cultural Program.
For Best Children & Youth Program, Daig Kayo ng Lola Ko, GMA Synergy's 'Stronger Together, Buo Ang Puso: NCAA Season 97, and Born to be Wild have been selected.
First Lady, Wish Ko Lang, and Tadhana are all up for Best Drama Series/Program.
The Jessica Soho Presidential Interviews, Year of the Superhero, and The Atom Araullo Specials “Write to Vote” are bets for Best TV Special.
GMA Regional TV Live and Reporter's Notebook are among the nominees for Best Public Service TV Program.
Saksi and Brigada are being eyed as Best News Program and Best News Magazine, respectively.
The award for Best Special Event Coverage, meanwhile, is between Balitanghali and 24 Oras's coverage of the Super Typhoon Odette.
GMA's Christmas Station ID titled "Love Together, Hope Together" is also up for Best Station ID.
Super Radyo DZBB 594's Super Balita Sa Umaga Nationwide and Super Balita Sa Tanghali Nationwide have both been selected for Best News Program.
The radio station's Pinoy MD Dobol B has also been nominated as Best Counseling Program.
For Best Entertainment Program, Sumasapuso Kasama Si Toni Aquino of Super Radyo and Barangay Love Stories of Barangay LS 97.1 are among the list.
Three Super Radyo shows are up for Best News Commentary namely, Saksi sa Dobol B; One on One, Walang Personalan; and Melo Del Prado Sa Super Radyo DZBB.
Bahay at Buhay Kasama si Lala Roque is being considered as Best News Feature, while Serbisyo On The Spot and OMJ (Oh My Job) are part of the Best Public Service Program finalists.
GMA's Limitless: A Musical Trilogy: Breathe has been nominated for Best Digital Ad - Public Service.
It is also nominated for Best TV Ad - Public Service, alongside GMA News and Public Affairs's Dapat Totoo.
The network also has nominations in the music category--"Rise Up Stronger by Rina L. Mercado and Kapuso Artists for Best Inspirational Song and "Love and Hope Together" by Thea Astley & Jeremiah Tiangco for Best Secular Song.
