Ruru Madrid and Bianca Umali

The real-life couple are getting paired in a project, finally!

Kapuso stars Ruru Madrid and Bianca Umali will star in a new drama series under GMA News and Public Affairs. The real-life couple broke the news ending speculations about their recent social media post.

In an interview with Aubrey Carampell on Chika Minute, Bianca admitted that the photo she posted is an old one and that she just found the right time to post it.

“It was really something personal na I've been keeping so sumakto 'yung pagkakataon na it was pahapyaw sa mga tao,” she said.

The series titled The Write One will be Ruru and Bianca's first team-up since they started their careers. It will tackle second chances, love, and acceptance. Filming will start before the year ends and will air in 2023.

"Nakukwento niya lang sa'kin kung papaano siya mag-work but this time, makikita ko,” says Ruru who is excited to be working with his longtime girlfriend.

Meanwhile, the couple clarified that they are not yet engaged.

Speculations on the status of their relationship began on October 24 after Bianca posted a picture showing her wearing rings while holding Ruru's hand. Ruru also posted a picture of Bianca taken during their South Korea trip earlier this year. Both photos were captioned “I found the right one.”

Bianca explains the meaning of the rings: “Yung pinakababa, ''yung may diamond tear-shape, it's a ring that really came from Ruru. The second one, makikita n'yo 'yung rings na may sapphires, 'yung blue diamond, that was the ring that I got for myself last year. The gold ring with the small diamond is an engagement ring of my mom in the past. Yun 'yung nagsi-symbolize ng hope para sa'kin na she's with me,” she said.

Though settling down is not in the immediate future for the two, Ruru admits the ring symbolizes everything that they've been through together. “Para sa'kin, sobrang espesyal nung ring na yun."
