Pharrell Williams and RM of BTS

Pharrell and BTS's RM are the cover of Rolling Stone's 2022 Musicians on Musicians.

Pharrell Williams confirmed his collaboration with global group BTS in a Rolling Stone interview with the supergroup's leader, RM.

Williams revealed that one of the songs in his new project, titled Phriends, was recorded by BTS.

"I'm actually talking about this way more than I'm supposed to, but it's a song from my album that [BTS] sang and it's amazing, and I'm super grateful,” Williams was quoted as saying.

In the same interview, RM said his anticipated first solo album is almost complete.

"Like 90 percent of the work is done. I've released some mixtapes as one of the members of the band, but it was just an experiment. I think this time it's maybe my official first solo album,” the rapper-producer said.

RM has released two mixtapes in the past--“RM” in 2015 and “Mono” in 2018.

Williams also hinted he is open for collaboration on RM's upcoming album.

"You said you're 90 percent done with your solo album. But if within that last 10 percent, if you need--you don't need me, but I mean . . . if you want to do something, we can actually do it,” he said.

“[Y]ou tell me what you want. Uptempo? We go uptempo,” Williams continued.

To which, RM said he is “honored and grateful.”

RM has previously expressed his admiration for Williams and considers him as one of his idols.

Williams and RM sat down for a one-on-one interview for Rolling Stone's latest “Musicians on Musicians,” where they were featured as the cover.

The two music artists deep-dived into the craft of music production. They also shared their struggles and fears as artists and the responsibilities it comes with.
