An article by Soompi said “The Astronaut” is the “highest debut of any Korean solo song on the Hot 100 this decade.”
It is also the third-highest of all time, following PSY's “Hangover” at No. 26 in 2014 and “Gentleman” at No. 12 in 2013.
“The Astronaut” also claimed spots at the Global 200 and Global excluding United States charts this week at No. 10 and No. 6, respectively.
The single is also the top-selling song of Billboard this week, while Jin reentered the Artist 100 chart at No. 10.
