Months after the successful run of GMA Afternoon Prime series, Bukod Kang Pinagpala, versatile actress Jennica Garcia is back. This time around she will be starring in the upcoming GMA Telebabad series, Carmela.

GMANetwork.com caught up with Jennica during the Carmela story conference.

When asked how it felt to be part of Carmela, the chinita actress replied, “Siyempre, nagpapasalamat ako sa Diyos kasi hindi na ako contract artist ng GMA Network, tapos nagulat ako. Tapos nalaman ko pa na si Ate Yan ang makakasama ko kaya sobrang nakakatuwa.”

Jennica has previously worked with Carmela lead actress Marian Rivera in the 2012 Primetime series, My Beloved. In the series, Jennica played the role of Monica, the younger sister of Marian’s character, Sharina. Like My Beloved, Carmela will also be under the helm of Dominic Zapata.

Jennica shared “Naalala ko dati, hindi ako nagki-kissing scene, pero dahil sa My Beloved at si Direk Dom kasi ‘yung direktor, sabi ko sige na nga. Ganoon talaga kalaki ‘yung tiwala ko kay Direk, kaya excited na akong makatrabaho siya ulit.”
