Despite his busy schedule, K-pop boy band SEVENTEEN's hippest rapper Vernon is proving he's got time to show that he has a voice of his own as he gifts Carats with a solo mixtape this holiday season!

Last December 15, Pledis Entertainment, SEVENTEEN's agency, officially announced that Vernon is going to be releasing his solo mixtape Black Eye on December 23, 2022, at 2 p.m. (KST).

A day after SEVENTEEN commenced their “Be The Sun” show in Bulacan, Vernon released teaser photos for the solo mixtape. The first snap captures the edgy and dark side of the talented rapper while the other photo features a soft-looking Vernon gazing into the fire.

Carats all over the world are already expecting Vernon's solo mixtape to be hip and lit as this K-pop idol has a passion for music unlike any other. Like SEVENTEEN's vocal boss Woozi, Vernon has the most lyric writing credit for the group's songs. He also has impeccable taste in music and from time to time shares his favorite tunes on Instagram.

SEVENTEEN continues to prove they are a powerhouse and are full of talented artists. Last September, the group's main dancer Jun showed how versatile he is with the release of his solo song “LIMBO.” The group's leader line comprising S.Coups, Hoshi, and Woozi also cements their title as the best leaders with the drop of their new song “CHEERS” earlier this year.
