What would a band do if their lead singer loses his voice? Find out how Parokya ni Edgar got through here:

The year 2022 may be one of the most memorable for artists because after almost two years, they are able to perform again to live audiences. Just like what Parokya ni Edgar vocalist Chito Miranda felt during their last gig for this year despite losing his voice the last minute.

In an Instagram post, Chito shared that he was already scheduled to go on a vacation with his kids when their gig last night, which he thought would be canceled, suddenly pushed through.

"Ayoko naman i-cancel yung plans ko with my family...so ayun: nag-Pico kami at naligo kami sa beach habang umu-ulan at nag-enjoy naman kami ng todo hehe [sulit naman dahil sobrang nag-enjoy yung kids]," he said on the caption of his post.

Unfortunately, he added, "[Y]un nga... nawalan na 'ko ng boses. My worst nightmare bilang bokalista.”

Chito said that he tried to rest in their hotel room and drink lots of water to get back his voice but to no avail.

“Buti nalang sobrang saya ng crowd...and wala silang paki sa boses ko. Sinabayan lang nila kami buong set,” he said.

He added that while he was struggling during their performance, they enjoyed their gig. Chito also expressed how ashamed he was for not being able to give his best but the crowd did not make them feel lacking.

“Ni once never pina-feel ng crowd na kulang yung binibigay namin bilang banda. Maraming, maraming salamat po!!!” he said.

Meanwhile, fans and followers commented that they will always support the band no matter what. One commented also said that the band will never have shortcomings for them.

“Ngayon me anak na ako, I still listen to your music. Hindi lang sya masaya sa tenga (hindi kasi yun magbabago) eh, yung alam mong solid na feeling andun. Yun po ang feeling na binibigay nyo sa aming mga fans nyo, yung buong kayo,” the comment read.

Others also wished Chito well and to recover soon.
