'Dapat Alam Mo!' host Kuya Kim Atienza was awarded as Hero of the Year at the Gawad Pilipino Awards. Congratulations, Kapuso!
Kuya Kim Atienza gained another achievement for his excellence in the field of media.
The Kapuso television host was recognized as Hero of the Year at the Gawad Pilipino Awards for his work on GTV's newsmagazine program Dapat Alam Mo! and for being a “media frontliner during the COVID-19 pandemic,'" and, as the awards description read, for solemnizing "the role of news and information provider during the pandemic."
In an Instagram post, Kuya Kim shared a series of photos of him at the event with other renowned personalities and fellow awardees including Senator JV Ejercito, Mariz Umali, Ara Mina, and Dave Almarinez.
He also expressed his gratitude to the award-giving body for the recognition saying, “Salamat sa Gawad Pilipino sa pagkilala. Thank you Lord for putting me on television. All for your Glory!
“'Excellence is doing ordinary things extraordinarily well - John W. Gardner.'”
In June, Kuya Kim was awarded as Outstanding Manilan in the field of mass media at the Outstanding Manilans 2022.
Meanwhile, Kuya Kim is a segment host in GMA's flagship newscast 24 Oras. He is also one of the hosts in GTV's newsmagazine program Dapat Alam Mo! and in the Kapuso variety show TiktoClock.
