Isa si Vicky Morales sa mga premyado at tanyag na mamamahayag sa bansa dahil sa mga istoryang nagawa niya na nagbigay pag-asa at tumatatak sa buhay ng mga Pilipino.

Sa isang panayam sa itinuturing na Journalist with a Heart, nagbigay siya ng ilang payo para sa mga nais maging mamamahayag.

Ayon kay Vicky, ang mga mahahalagang katangian ng isang journalist ay pagkakaroon ng integridad, passion, at marunong makisama.

“Make sure that the integrity is intact because that's a big part of the equation. And then after that, have the passion for it. You should know na talagang you will lose sleep, you'll spend a lot of hours in front of your laptop screen, magsusulat ka, and siyempre uupuan mo rin 'yung editing kasi you're a part of the entire process.

“That for me are the most important--'yung integrity, 'yung passion mo para sa trabaho mo, 'yung ability mo to be a team player. And of course, you have to love what you do. You have to really love your work,” pagbabahagi niya.

Sa loob ng mahigit tatlong dekada bilang Public Affairs host at broadcast journalist, patuloy pa rin si Vicky sa paghahatid ng mga makabuluhang kuwento para sa publiko dahil ito ay ang kaniyang passion.

Aniya, “It's really a passion, maybe it's a passion project for me. I feel that there's still a lot that I can contribute and I still feel that I'm still in the part of progress. For as long as I can contribute something, I will be here and for as long as I can be relevant, I will be here to give what I can.

“And it's something that I enjoy doing at the same time. It's a lot of work, mahirap talaga siya minsan pero 'yung saya naman na nakukuha mo, natutumbasan naman lahat ng hirap na talagang ginugugol mo rito sa trabahong ito. So it's something that I like to do for a very long time.”
