Jay Perillo and Zyrene Parsad might only be the runners-up to the runners-up, pero palaban pa rin ang dalawa—and they're still ready to be known bilang mga next big stars. Bukod sa winners ng Are You the Next Big Star? na sina Geoff Taylor at Frencheska Farr, kinuha rin ng GMA Artist Center (GMAAC) sina Alex Castro, Camille Cortez, Jay Perillo at Zyrene Parsad bilang mga bagong contract stars ng talent agency. In Jay's own words, sobrang happy na sila with fact na they were tapped to join GMAAC. "Siyempre sobrang natuwa rin kami, na kahit after Next Big Star, 'yung mga pinagpaguran namin ay mayroon din talagang napuntahan, at may mga taong naka-appreciate sa mga ginawa namin." Pero Zyrene shares with us na this has always been her goal. "That's really my goal, kaya po ako sumali ng Are You the Next Big Star?," inamin niya sa amin. "Last year po kasi, I told myself na I really want to enter GMA. And if I want something, I know I can get it because I'm working hard for it. I'm very dedicated." She adds, "at saka lahat po kasi talaga ino-offer ko kay Lord e. Kaya sabi ko, 'Lord, bahala ka na. Basta gusto ko, gusto ko, gusto ko po 'to. Sana ibigay niyo po sa akin.'" Sa kanilang pagpasok sa entertainment industry, Jay says wala siyang expectations. "Pero hopefully may mga mangyari," he says. "Nasa [Artist Center] na rin naman ‘yun; at siyempre, kung ano 'yung ipagkaloob sa akin ng Diyos, tatanggapin ko naman ng maluwag e." As for Zyrene, she's mixing expectations with action. Aminado si Zyrene that she doesn't have the best singing voice among her contemporaries. "Pero may io-offer pa po ako aside from singing; I can do hosting [and] acting as well. And I want to be an asset of GMA-7." She adds, "honestly there are lots of singers na sumali sa Are You the Next Big Star? na mas magaling po sa akin, na mas bumibirit because I don't do birit, kaya sabi ko, 'Ang daming magagaling pero nakapasok ako dito sa Top 3. Ibig sabihin there's really something na binigay sa akin ng Panginoon na kailangan ko po i-share.'" Kaya naman ready na ang dalawa para ituloy ang pag-share sa kanilang talents—now under GMA Artist Center, with VIVA co-management in the case of Jay. Jay promises, "sa lahat ng nagsupport po sa akin, ipinapangako ko na kung ano 'yung nagustuhan nila sa akin, kung bakit po nila ako hinangaan, e doble pa 'yung makikita nila pagkatapos ng Next Big Star. And hindi po ako titigil na pakitaan sila ng bago. Para patuloy 'yung paghanga nila sa akin, at hindi ko mabigo 'yung mga expectations nila para sa akin." Zyrene makes a similar promise; "If I really want something, I really focus on it. I want to be the next big star. Sabi ko nga po, if I can't be the next big star in the contest, I promise myself, my family and my supporters that I will be the next big star on my own. And sana po makita po sa akin ‘yan ng GMA."
