Nikki Gil on her thesis defense: “Proof to myself that I can still do hard things"
Former actress and host Nikki Gil appears to be entering a new stage in her life: successfully getting through her thesis defense.
The former MYX VJ is taking up Bachelor in Science in Interior Design at the SoFA Design Institute. Prior to this, she graduated in 2009 with a degree in English Literature from Ateneo de Manila University.
Looking back on her journey as a student, Nikki wrote, “Proof to myself that I can still do hard things. Last time I used this part of my brain was 17 years ago lol"
“So grateful to my thesis advisers for encouraging me to write about something I genuinely care about. And to @roberta815, @patch_feliciano_uy and T. Jojo Nepomuceno (thank you @johannacbuhay for the intro!) for so generously sharing their time, expertise and insight.”
She added, “ To my village, thank you for keeping everything together while I disappeared into this."

Nikki married businessman BJ Albert at the Sta. Elena Golf and Country Club in Laguna in November 2015. They have two kids, Finn and Madeline Elle or Maddie.
