There are some girls who are blessed with the time and money to style their hair looking like they just came out of the salon at 7 in the morning.

And then there are those of us who are just plain lazy and don't really have the time to consistently style it. Plus, the idea of damaging our already brittle strands somehow sends chill to our spines.

There must be an easier way to styling our hair without the heat. And fortunately for us, there is.

This is what was revealed to us by Fatima Mercado, Barbie Forteza's very own hair and makeup artist.

Now, Fatima has been working with the Kapuso actress ever since she starred in Pilyang Kerubin--that's almost ten years of blowdrying and hairstyling sessions in the makeup chair.

Here we've broken down some no-heat-required tricks to achieve the perfect hair in no time.

Lashes ✔️ Nails ✔️ Hair ✔️ figure nalang 😂

Hairstyle: Blow-dry
No-heat trick: Electric fan
Total styling time: 10 minutes (depending on the length of your hair)

According to Fatima, if you have no blow drier at home but still want to achieve the same effect, air it out in front of an electric fan.

She explains, “Itutok mo lang sa electric fan 'yung hair mo -- it's super effective in giving the same effect.

“Yumuko ka lang while combing your hair with your fingers to detangle your hair strands. And then when it's damp, you start brushing it from the roots to the tips. Once it's dry, ang effect nun naka-blow dry na plus may volume pa 'yung hair mo.”

Hairstyle: Beach waves
No-heat trick: Bun
Total styling time: 3 hours

A little tedious, but hear Fatima out.

Once your hair is really, really dry, try tying your hair up in a bun and make your way to work.

Fatima recommends, “Kung mahaba yung buhok mo, i-bun mo lang 'yung hair mo and then magtrabaho ka. Kung pinusod mo 'yung hair mo ng umaga, mga 12 noon, kulot na yun.

“Basta make sure na talagang tuyo 'yung hair mo for that maximum effect with your soft beach curls.”

For an effortless look, Fatima emphasizes the importance of how you take care of your hair. So be mindful of the things you put in your mane if you want to achieve a sleek, healthy hair.

And for Fatima, the fewer chemicals in your hair, the better.

She explains, “Siguro if kayang iwasan, 'wag masyadong mag-spray net at mag-wax kasi may tendency na talagang maglalagas yung hair mo dahil dun eh.

“And for shampoo, mas maganda na minsan-minsan lang gumamit kasi it strips off the oil. Kasi ang natural oil ng hair nakakaganda sa strand ng buhok -- and the rule is the same pati rin sa boys. Kasi ang shampoo kasi masyado kasing ma-chemical."

Lastly, Fatima shares that if you want to protect your strands from any form of damage it's only best to use oil for your hair.

“Yung iba gumagamit pa nga ng mga hair oil para maprotektahan ang hair and ganun din ang mga ginagawa ng mga matatanda, 'di ba?

“Kasi maganda talaga ang oil sa scalp para maging naturally beautiful ang hair.”
