Marcus Madrigal is driven to make his own name in the world of show business. Here he talks about how even a supporting role is something to be taken seriously.
Meet Marcus Madrigal, a young man whose passion for acting goes beyond the roles he usually portrays. He is not to be confused with his co-star Marco Alcaraz , who plays Bien in their afternoon drama Pati ba Pintig ng Puso? Mauricio and the GMA Network. stars After starring in the phenomenal primetime show Bakekang , Marcus now appears in another Kapuso drama as Jeffrey, Don Griego’s (Eddie Gutierrez) right-hand man and Aldrin’s ( JC de Vera ) friend and confidant. Torn between serving two masters, he juggles his time to maintain Don Griego’s trust and keep his loyalty to Aldrin. His may be a supporting role, but Marco claims he prepares for such part meticulously. “Siyempre nandyan iyong characterization (ko) doon sa role: kung ilang taon na ba siya, kung ano pang mga business niya (sa buhay) or something” he shares. For him, every scene is something worthy of his best performance. “Actually every taping kasi challenge para sa'kin eh. Siyempre kailangan magampanan mo ng maayos (iyong role), kahit napakaliit lang ng scene o ng dialogue. Kailangan umakma iyong arte mo sa character mo” he explains. Inspiring him to perform well in every act is seasoned drama director Gil Tejada, whom he has worked with thrice already. The actor also notes his good relationships with his fellow stars, to which he is all praises for. stars Pati ba Pintig ng Puso? is a reprise of an old hit movie and Marcus says the viewers can expect their noontime show to be better than the original since “mas lalagyan namin ng mas magagandang twists (dito). Abangan nila ‘'yung pinaka-story talaga, at saka 'yung mga character ng mga artista na kasama ko dito. Panoorin nila kasi glamoroso talaga, (lalo) 'yung setting, 'yung mga damit ng artista, na bibihirang (makita) sa soap opera.” Catch Marcus and the rest of the cast of Pati ba Pintig ng Puso? weekday afternoons in GMA’s Dramarama sa Hapon.
