Pablo then readily sold the house for P10 million and moved to a smaller place, but did not take Minda with him. Instead, he left her in the woods to die. Minda was left all by herself to struggle for safety and survival. And just when all hope was lost, Minda caught a jeepney driver’s attention. The good Samaritan did not hesitate to help her.
Meanwhile, Chayong convinced Catherine to check on her mother. Although a bit wary, she visited their house—only to learn that it had been sold. Angered and worried, she moved to look for the Acuetas’ new place to get the chance to talk with her mother. Chona denied having Minda with them, which only made Catherine even more furious. She had started living a peaceful life with her child and godmother, until Pablo ruined things. Still convinced that he has to get back on Catherine for taking Jojo’s life, he kept watch of Chayong’s house and waited for a chance to harm them. He finally did, one day, but instead of shooting Catherine’s child, he hit Chayong in the arm.
