Among the articles that you have written which one is the most memorable? Ah marami through the years, but isa na dun ‘yung Martin and Pops (split up). Ako ang unang nag break ng story. Nag-deny si Pops, nag-deny din si Martin. Nilagay ko ‘yung side nila pati ‘yung denials nila, kumpleto. Pero sa ending nilagay ko lang ‘I stand by my story, it’s up to you to make conclusions.’ Di ko naman sinabi na nagsinungaling sila; hindi ko rin sinabi na totoo ‘yung sinulat ko. Did you feel vindicated? Yeah, after three years, tumawag si Pops, inamin din nya na totoo nga pala ‘yung story tapos it was a vindication for me, and for my newspaper especially. Sa akin din naman umamin, kasi nga ang importante, you have to stand by the truth, basta ‘wag lang mag-imbento, ‘wag mag cre-create ng di naman totoo. Don’t put words into the mouths of whoever you are interviewing. Who among our young artists do you think will be the next big stars? Alam mo it is so hard to tell kasi it takes time. Si Sharon naman hindi naman Sharon kaagad e, parang si Vilma din. It will take time, pero maraming mga promising. Tapos ‘yung sa mga mas bago, si Marky Cielo. If you are give a chance to choose 3 topics that you want to feature in your show, what will these be? One is about adopted children, marami, si Sunshine Dizon, si Jennylyn Mercado, magandang topic ‘yun e. How they adjust to that kind of status and how they relate to their biological parents. Isa pa yung sibling rivalry, maganda yung magkakapatid na magkakaiba ang father or magkaiba ang mother katulad nila Maricel Laxa and Mutya Crisostomo, Ramon Christopher, Tonton Gutierrez and Raymond Gutierrez, si Jinggoy at si JV Ejercito. Kung ano ‘yung mga friction dun sa relationship nila, kung meron man at saka how they treat each other. Kasi blood is thicker than water, and yet pag nag-away ang mga magkapatid, mas matindi kaysa away ng mga magkakaibigan. Isa pa siguro yung mga single dads kasi common na ‘yung mga single moms di ba? How they cope with the (responsibilities). How they balance their careers. Kasi iba yung lalaki sa babae di ba, ang babae is basically a homebody maski working career woman sya, parang andun pa rin ‘yung pagka-nanay nya. What are your tips for aspiring showbiz writers? Be truthful. ‘Wag mag-imbento. Keep on reading, keep on writing, and be sincere. Well ‘yung sincerity mafi-feel mo when you are reading the articles. To be credible doesn’t mean you’re infallible, di ba? To be credible is also feeling obligated to say sorry. I had to say sorry, I had to correct what ever it is that (I wrote), kasi di ka naman perfect di ba? Kung minsan nagkakamali ka, bigyan mo ng chance ‘yung other side to speak di ba?
