Ogie Diaz to Aiko Melendez: 'Nandito lang naman ako as always.'
Showbiz columnist Ogie Diaz clarifies the circumstances surrounding Aiko Melendez's recent departure from his management.
In a recent video, Ogie explained they parted ways amicably and remain on good terms.
"Si Aiko Melendez ay maayos na nagpaalam through message na magco-concentrate siya sa politics at 'yung mga gusto niyang mangyari sa buhay niya, mga gusto niyang direksyon, tahakin sa politika, magawa niya,"the showbiz personality said.
"Siyempre, hindi naman tayo manager sa politics. Although 'yun ang kumbaga 80% ang buhay ni Aiko. Sa 20% lang 'yung sa movie career niya."
Ogie also admitted that their differing political views may have been a factor in their decision. However, he emphasized that they continue to respect each other's opinions.
"Hindi naman po kami para pagtibagin ng kung anong kulay mo sa politika," he said.
"Basta ang importante, maayos kami naghiwalay ni Aiko kahit itinext niya lang sa akin. Okay lang din naman. So hinayaan ko na rin siya."

Ogie also mentioned Aiko may now manage her showbiz career hands-on, possibly with the help of her real-life partner, Onemig Bondoc.
"Nandito lang naman ako kapag kailangan ni Aiko ng payo, kung gusto niya meron siyang balikat na iiyakan. Nandito lang naman ako, as always."

If Aiko decides to transfer to a different management, Ogie clarified that it's fine with him. He noted their long-year friendship is more important.
"Ang importante lang, dapat sa lahat ng pagkakataon, magkukwento tayo ng totoong nangyari at totoong kuwento," he added.
Recently, Aiko announced parting ways with Ogie's management through a social media post.
The actress-politician assured fans that their friendship endures despite taking separate professional paths.
"My manager, Ogie Diaz, and I have reached a crossroads in our business life, and we have chosen to take separate roads," she wrote. "Though one thing remains unchanged, we are still good friends."
